As noted in a [console_bridge issue](https://github.com/ros/console_bridge/issues/49#issuecomment-436754539), ros1 logging doesn't support unicode strings, so it would be nice to support that in ros2. --- [Visit Topic](https://discourse.ros.org/t/ros2-logging/6469/11) or reply to this email to respond.
