That's odd. Can you try 'make clean; make VERBOSE=1' and verify that
the compile steps include '-g' and don't include any '-O' flags?
Btw, changing the ROS_BUILD_TYPE should cause everything to rebuild on
'make', so your initial 'make clean' was unnecessary.
