:+1: on the release, but there are at least two non-DDS based RMW implementations 'out there' already: an OPC-UA one (presented at the [ROS-I 2016 conference](
https://rosindustrial.org/events/2016/11/3/2016-ros-industrial-conference)) and one using NDN (
https://discourse.ros.org/t/ros2-on-microcontrollers-with-riot/1293/9).
Probably not as polished as `rmw_dps`, but they were 'frist' ;)
