We have a proof of concept[1] for 'notification' support using a
<description brief="text"></description> tag in a launch file to display
text information to the user.

This would allow a system to launch a series of launch files in the
background and use the notification system[2] to provide user feedback
when nodes are launched. We could also use an <icon> or <logo> tag to
provide a custom icon for the launch file.
